May fought well and worked the system. Boring though.

It wasn't bad. I didn't realize how many people dislike Mayweather.

I am hating this post interviewer. “We had you losing ringside, blah blah blah.”

Manny fought. Mayweather boxed.

Exactly, it’s good though, after this Manny is gone go make the world a better and Mayweather is gonna beat a woman.

Brutal and true. May used the same game plan he had against Sugar Shame Mosley. Manny wasn’t tired at all, just frustrated because he couldn’t get close enough.

Yes, everytime Manny got close Mayweather wrapped him up. Manny fought to win Mayweather fought for points.

Everything I expected. Floyd complete domination. It's how he's always fought.

Kind of. He won by decision, but didn’t do much to justify his paycheck.

There was only one person in the ring for a fight, and it certainly wasn't mayweather.

I had a thought earlier this week about the propaganda and ramped up hype about all this, and the contrast between riots all over. I don't pay attention to boxing or other professional fighting, but it's my understanding that Manny came from a poor family and boxed because whether or not he won he got paid; Now he has people paying thousands of dollars for seats to see him fight, plus folks apparently paying a significant chunk of money to watch from home. Yet folks are destroying their own communities in a rage about alleged societal and financial inequalities, and there's an apparent consensus by outsiders to "stop the violence" and "rioting solves nothing" (compared to actual peaceful protests).

So I wondered: if all or a large portion of the profits from professional sports - not just fighting - was instead used in education - better pay for teachers, better equipment, better infrastructure, safer schools with less-crowded classrooms, etc. - would the great societal divide decrease? Our society puts massive value into the entertainment industry: sports and movies where even small parts make hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars annually, where sporting and concert tickets cost close to a day's pay for most workers for sporting events and more than some folks make hourly for a single movie ticket, while teachers who put the amount of time it would take into two full time jobs tend to make a meddling sum. We put value into the perceived elite, while sacrificing our own self-worth and that of our own communities, to the point where we'll spend hundreds of millions of dollars for a new stadium, bur can't be bothered to accept a fraction of a percent sales tax increase to offset education costs. I'm not saying professional athletes, actors, and musicians don't deserve pay, and perhaps more than others make as they definitely work hard for what they do and have considerable developed talent, but that they're paid far too much, and the lower classes bear the burden of their salaries.

Oh yes big plans we are moving back to Illinois in July and I start school until August (Supply Chain Management).

I thought sitting around doing nothing until then would be fun. But, I have been on leave since Tuesday and I am already bored as hell. I think I might go get a part time job somewhere just to have something to do.

That leave life!! Day three ready to go back to base.

Sounds good man, apparently supply chain management is the new Pharmaceutical Representative.

Rocking that post 9/11 GI Bill

I thought this time would be different since I am done but, I guess not.

Why do you think it’s like a Pharmaceutical Representative?

Actually I won’t be using the post 9/11 I will be using the Montgomery. Illinois has this thing called the Illinois Veteran’s Grant that pays for school so I will be using the MGIB I will be getting more $ every month using that then the Post 9/11.

Awesome, the post 9/11 works really well for me, granetd I am married and bought a house so I have to work full time right now. The BAH/BAQ for my area where I will be going to school is north of $1400 and there are so many in state programs for me in Tennesse, since I never gave up my state residency.

Plus TN has a new program for TN high school graduates, no matter the age, for 2 years of community college for free. i plan on using this program to get all my non-major related stuff done, and use my post 9/11 for my BS and hopefully have some left over for the post-grad program I want to do.

I say supply chain management is like being a pharma rep because it guarantees a certain kind of high profile lifestyle, high income straight out of school, and usually attractive co-field workmates that pharma reps used to be around the early 2000s. Back then there was no better job to have, starting around 120k, many gorgeous womenfolk in the field, lots of travel, great business connections. But it dried up due to greed, now it is one of those “internal network only” job fields.

Yes, I kept my IL residency for the same reason’s.

If I was using the post 9/11 I would be getting right around $900 a month BAH, with the MGIB and IL Veteran’s Grant I will be getting about $1600 a month. Between that and my disability and the low cost of living in Southern IL, we should be living pretty good. My wife is still planning on working while I am going to school too. If she can’t find a job or something we have enough in our savings to supplement whatever we need. We should be good for quite awhile.

Luckily I am almost done with my Associate’s. I still waiting to find out what classes are going to transfer, but, I am hoping I can finish school in two calender years. I am not planning on taking summer’s off though.

I get the comparison now, and now you have me worried that it could all go to shit like Pharma Reps. Thanks for that. I am looking forward to getting done with school and getting started but it kind of seems like seems like a weird career filed to me. All of the research I have done makes it seem like a bunch of smart people using very big words to explain something that doesn’t seem very difficult to me. That is my only worry that someday people are going to realize that it isn’t as difficult as it seems and POOF, my job will be gone.

What are you studying?

I didn’t realize you are in TN, I will not be that far away once we move, we should grab a beer and tell war stories sometime.
